History

Antarai, forming in 2005, started out simply creating a un-official "Coming out of Retirement Fight " t-shirt for the founders' Muay Thai teacher, Bunkerd Faphimai. Bunkerd, a 5-Time World Muay Thai Champion, was fighting in New York City and the two students wanted to show support and honor their teacher at the event. The t-shirt was very well received and all stock was sold immediately. The founders were repeatedly asked by those in the audience in NYC where they could purchase the t-shirt.

The founders, design and internet professionals by day, started searching online for high-quality, Muay Thai-themed apparel. They quickly discovered that there is not a great deal of apparel to choose from, and the design and quality of the clothing available was not very good.

Today, Antarai's goal is to bring high-quality, custom designed apparel to those that love Muay Thai, fighting arts, and Thai culture. Antarai also aims to give back to the sport they love by promoting the basic history of Muay Thai and its affect on popular ring and cage sports today such as K-1, Pride and UFC fighting. The company will also donate a percentage of proceeds to an education fund in Thailand.
